June 23, 2008 Grace, Who Get's It

Help is a wonderful thing and even if your not willing to admit it, there comes a time when we will all need it. Help with a heavy load, help buying the house that we want, help with the kids, help coming
into this world, and even help getting to the graveyard

Grace, to put it simply is Gods' help. His divine involvement. God wants to help. In fact one of the definitions for the Holy Spirit is the "Helper" The Bible reads in the book of Ephesians 2:8 "For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God:" Our faith in God gives us access into His grace
. By faith we mean our trust in His word, accepting Him, continuing with Him no matter what, believing!
What is your need today? Do you have a heavy load? Do you need help with a child? Are you dealing with life and death issues? Trust God today, accept His forgiveness and His love, believe upon Him no matter what, and His grace will be sufficient always!
                                                                                God is good!

June 10 2008-Grace, Who Needs it?

It is so good to be able again to sit and write. Our life here at Community has been in the state of extreme transition! We moved out of our old location, found a new one, closed the deal, and moved into a new one, all in the matter of about two weeks. Then this past weekend my wife woke up Saturday in severe pain, after a trip to two hospitals, several x rays, much poking and prodding, and emergency surgery on Sunday. I now have her back home, minus a very mean kidney stone. What a roller coaster life ...<< MORE >>

May 24 2008 - Making Sense of Life!

Somebody stop the world and let me off! Does that sound familiar to anyone out there? At times life can seem to be so unpredictable or even out of control. It is like trying to hold on to the wind, not knowing where its coming from or where it is going. Instead of spending all of our energy cleaning up the messes of life we wish for the day that for once we could prevent the messes from happening in the first place!
Hold on to your dust pan or put away your tool belt which ever the case may be. ...<< MORE >>

May 21- It is written!

II Corinthians 10:5 tells us that there is a battle going on and it is closer than we think. Your very thoughts, the things that you know or need to know, even your dreams and imaginations are the target of this assault! The one waging this war is called the "god of this world" we also know him as Satan. His objective is to steal, kill, and destroy every thing that he can. He has an arsenal of lies and legions of demon's to assist him.
Least we despair, let us remember that we are a part of a mighty army with our conquering King Jesus as the captain of the host! When the devil came to tempt Him in the wilderness. The enemy hurled accusations and evil influences like fiery darts looking for a target. The devil tried to get Jesus to think about himself, his reputation, and his future. Does that sound familiar? Have you ever been tempted to think those kind of thoughts? Don't worry you are in good company. We are all tempted. How we respond to temptation is what matters. Jesus refused to get in to a debate with the devil. He let God's word work for him! "It is written" was like the sound of the trigger going back on a mighty weapon. The devil knew that what followed was going to hurt and hurt it did! When you feel like your thoughts, dreams, plans are under attack. Remember that there is a "It is written" for everything you are going through. Read Luke Chapter 4 today and rejoice because God's word works!

May 18 2008 - Welcome to my world!

Welcome to our new blog!  Welcome to a new chapter, not only a chapter for this message, but a new chapter in my life. This blog is a first for me and I would like to welcome all of you along for the journey. I cannot make very many promises about what it will be like, but I will try my best to be as real as I possibly can. Maybe we can enjoy the journey together and learn from each other. I love to make friends and I also enjoy being around people who think differently than I do. Challenges can make you grow! ...<< MORE >>
